32 Weeks (Easter)

Easter Sunday was week 32, and our three little chicks almost hatched!
Lisa was really uncomfortable saturday nite, but she's been increasingly uncomfortable for the last couple of weeks. But the pains she was feeling were alittle different this time. By early Sunday, she was feeling pains that seemed to come at intervals. That's right, contractions!
So with a call to the doctor on-call, off to the hospital we went. They hooked up the heart monitors and contraction monitor, and gave her a shot to try to stop the contractions. The plan was up to three shots, and if that didnt work, then on to an IV drip w/Magnesium. At one point one of the babies heart rate took a momentary dip for long enough that they started telling us the babies might be born that day. Fortunately, the heart rate went back to normal. So they thought it might have been momentary pressure on the placenta. So after having two shots and waiting for a couple hours, the contractions stopped. So the doctor said we could go home, and they gave us a perscription for pills with the same drug as the shots. He also said we could go to our Easter dinner (we had reservations at San Carlos for 2 p.m.).
So we left the hospital around 11 a.m., went home, got cleaned up, and went to San Carlos and enjoyed ourselves.
Since Lisa was only at 32 weeks, they really do not want the babies to come just yet if they can help it. But as we get closer to 34 weeks, they would let them come at that point.
So safe to say, it was an Easter we will not forget anytime soon.
We go to one of the doctors tomorrow (4/19), and the other one on friday (4/21). We'll see what they say then.
