The babies have been growing like weeds the last couple of days.
Jonathan is now 4 lb, 9.5 oz.
Anna is now 4 lb, 2.5 oz.
Lydia is now 3 lb, 12 oz.
Anna is now in a basinet too. So only Lydia is still in an Isolette with heat on, although her heat is not turned up that high. So I would bet she will be out in a day or two.
Jonathan and Anna have not had a "brady" since yesterday, but Lydia hasn't had one since 5/6!
Yesterday Lisa gave Anna her first tub bath, and Jim gave Jonathan his first one. They do not recommend tub baths until after their cords fall off, which happened either late 5/8 or early 5/9.
We will probably do "rooming in" at the NICU friday night into saturday morning. That is where we stay in a room with the babies in the NICU, and they are in our complete care for several hours. There is an attached small bathroom with shower. The room has one small love seat, and one recliner. A TV with VCR, and laptop for parents entertainment between diapering/feeding sessions and a small fridge for drinks, etc. They encourage parents to do this to gain confidence before the little ones come home. It is completely up to us whether to do it or not, and for how long. The staff will watch over them for a brief period if we need to go to the cafeteria to get a meal for ourselves.
For those who know Bryan and Theresa, their Noah was born today at 5:41 p.m. Theresa left me a message on my cell phone close to noon. Her doctor saw her that morning, and said she should go ahead and have him today. So on her way to Nason Hospital, she left us a message. Bryan called us after 6 p.m. to give us the news that Noah was here and that all of them were doing fine. He left us a message around 9 p.m. to let us know everything was still going well. Noah was 4 lb, 5 oz. and 17.5" long, with "more hair than me" (quote from Bryan).
Okay, as it is now 1 a.m., it is time for bed again.
