Getting into the swing of things

Anna has been home since mid-day monday. Everything has been okay, but we haven't been able to take time to post an entry to this blog as we had to figure out the right kind of schedule to keep the babies cared for while maintaining our sanity.
It was alittle rough at first, but it is getting better. The first two nights we had a 3:00 a.m. feeding and 4:00 a.m. feeding, which really did a number on both of us. So our strategy (with three babies you NEED a strategy) is to adjust their feeding schedule in the late evening such that they'll want to be fed around 1:30 or 2:00 a.m. Then they should be good until closer to 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. Mom takes more of the 1:30ish care, but Dad still assits if needed or just cause he gets awake too. Then Dad takes care of the 5:30ish care, and turns the monitor off so Mom can sleep through that one. Dad and Mom take the morning feeding again. We haven't done it much, but we should probably schedule naps for ourselves during the day to help keep ourselves fresh.
Grandma and Pappy are visiting and trying to help Mom and Dad adjust to getting the schedule right. They've volunteered to help in the middle of the night if needed, but Mom and Dad feel that we must figure out and perfect that schedule for when they are no longer here to help. So we ask them to help more during the day with either feeding/changing them and also with the house work. Pappy has been singing country music to Lydia. We think he's trying to turn her into a "Lydia Ronstat"!
It will probably be another day or two before we put any more photos up, just cause of working out the scheduling.
They'll have their first visit to the pediatrician on Friday. We just hope the thunderstorms in the forecast hold off until after they are back home.
