Grandma and Pappy had come to stay for awhile when the babies first came home. They volunteered to help out as we knew it would take some time to get adjusted and figure out a schedule.
Well, after a week we were feeling like we were getting the hang of things. We gradually asked them to do less and less. After all, they cannot stay forever. And we knew it was important to figure out how just the two of us would be able to handle it once they left.
We hope they know we really do appreciate them coming down and being willing to lend a helping hand. It would have been alot harder the first couple days without them here.
Saturday after they left, the rest of the day went okay. Nothing really stressing. It was still busy with all of the feedings. That's one thing that we didn't realize would be the hardest part about taking care of them. The feeding time is so time consuming, especially when only one of us does it. But we both have to be comfortable being the only one to do it, as once we're both back to work it will be neccessary.
Sunday was alittle more unsettling. They were fine for most of the day. But by 7:00 p.m. they started into wanting alittle more formula every 90 minutes. This was alittle exhausting, and didnt help that Lisa tried to nap around 7:00 but was unsuccessful due to the fussing for food.
Memorial Day is going much better. They are spaced out at 3 1/2 to 4 hours between feedings today. And we will bathe them soon, which really seems to calm them down and make them sleepy.
Tomorrow is Daddy's first day back to work. So hopefully they will keep on that kind of schedule so Mommy will have a (realtively) easy first day.
