Babies first party

Amy, one of Lisa's coworkers, had a party last Saturday at her house. Even though Lisa had to work, Jim and babies were invited to attend. So the babies were packed up, the diaper bag was stuffed full of supplies, and away we went. It was pouring down rain at our house when we left (we have a garage, so the kids were loaded up without worry about getting wet), but thanfully we outran the storm when we got to Amy's house by just a couple of minutes. Dad carried two babies in, and Wade (Amy's hubby) volunteered to get number three for Dad. Wade just barely made it onto the back deck before the storm came.
It turns out that only Lydia really wanted to be the party animal. She was the only one to be awake and notice what was going on around her. Jonathan and Anna decided to be "party poopers"! Other than waking up for a quick diaper change and feeding, they decided to sleep through the entire event.
Several people remarked to Dad that they thought he was "brave" for taking the three out alone. But when Dad was presented with the option to be somewhere different for a change, with lots of other people around to talk to, there was no way Dad was going to decide to sit at home alone with the babies. Besides, who can pass up good food at someone else's house to eat the same old garbage you always eat at your own home.
Lydia tried out the "Bumbo" seat Amy has for her daughter. We had seen these where we bought the kids cribs, and thought they would be good once the kids can hold their own head up. Well, Lydia really liked it. Dad took photos and video to show Mommy. Mommy saw in the video how much Lydia liked the seat that she ordered three of them the next day. (If Daddy could get his act together, he would get some of these pictures up on the site sometime soon).
