6 Month Doctors visit

Today was the babies 6 month doctor's visit. This visit included another round of vacinations including a flu shot. The kids were good for the visit, with the obvious exception of crying after the shots. Jonathan did the best, crying only briefly. Anna cried the loudest, and Lydia cried the longest. The doctor seemed pleased with thier development and growth. They can hold their heads and upper bodies up in the tummy-time position well. Jonathan and Anna were able to sit up for a few seconds on their own. Lydia didn't sit up so well. But its hard to tell if it is because she cannot do it or if she just didn't want to do it.
And now for the numbers you are probably wondering about:
Jonathan - 16 lbs, 3 oz - 28 inches
Anna - 13 lbs, 6 oz - 25.5 inches
Lydia - 12 lbs, 8 oz - 24.5 inches
So as has been the pattern, Jonathan continues to be the "Big Boy" maintaining as strong lead vs. the girls. The girls continue to be close to each other, and all of them continue to be growing at a rate acceptable to the doctors.
We have not yet started feeding them cereal or any other foods. We are waiting for the table that we ordered for them, which should arrive any day now. The table had three seats right in the middle of the table-top. This makes it easy for us to sit in front of them, and hopefully minimizes the area of mess that we'll have to deal with. The table can be seen at http://www.justmultiples.com/triplet-table.html . We have alot of baby food purchased and stored in our cabinets, but once they start taking to it we're sure what we have will not last that long.
Since the flu shot was their first ever, they will have to go back in one month for a second one. There next regular checkup will be in about 2.5 months (9 month visit). The only bad thing about those is that it will probably be cold by then. Today wasn't bad with temperatures in the upper fifties, so they only needed light jackets.
