Our 1st Thanksgiving

Well it is the babies first Thanksgiving, but I doubt they'll remember it much at thier age. This was Lisa's holiday to work (2nd shift), so we decided to just make up some breakfast food to eat before she had to head into work. I think this idea was a good one, as it was quick to make and very little cleanup to do. Lisa will get a free turkey dinner at the hospital for supper.
The bad news is, the babies are getting some kind of cold or something. Lisa has something too, but the babies showed signs of sickness first. Two days ago Lydia's nose seemed stuffy. She hasn't really gotten any sicker than that. Then last night Jonathan suddenly became stuffy too. He seems to be alittle uncomfortable too, but not constantly. Once we got him tired enough, he did go to sleep and slept through the night okay. Then when I got up this morning, Anna's nose seemed stuffy too. So far Jonathan is the only one that is really having moments of discomfort. The girls dont seem too different other than the stuffyness.
So far we've tried spoon feeding the babies cereal while sitting in their new feeding table a couple of times. It isn't so easy just yet. Jonathan does okay with accepting the spoon into his mouth. In fact, he likes to try to grab your hand and/or spoon and lead it in. He just doesn't know to keep the food in his mouth and swallow once it is there. Anna tries to reject the spoon with her tounge most of the time. Lydia probably does the best of the three. She seems to open up for the spoon. She too needs to learn to keep the food in there and swallow, but at least she likes when the spoon comes her way. The real fun part is keeping them from pulling the bibs up towards their mouths inbetween each spoonful. We don't know if we're doing something wrong, or if they just need practice, or if it is just too early to be trying it yet. Hopefully they'll catch on soon.
Anna has started making noises that will hopefully lead to her saying her first word! Right now she'll get in a mood where she's happy and starts saying "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba" over and over again. It's really cute when she does this.
Hopefully sometime this weekend I will put up more photos on the site for everyone.
