Busy week

It's been a busy week.  Monday we took the trio to the mall to have their picture taken in their Christmas outfits.  We originally thought this would go quicker than last time since we intended to just take photos of the three of them together, and not do any individual shots.  Well...it was busy since everyone was there for Christmas pictures (we did have a scheduled appointment), and they decided to try more poses with them than last time.  So we ended up being there just as long.  The only difference this time was the mall was open until 10 p.m. due to the Christmas shopping season, so things were still open at 9:30 when we got done.

Wednesday Peggy and Hillary came over to babysit for us so we could have a night out.  We wanted to maximize our time, so we decided to Christmas shop a little and go to BJ's club for formula before heading on to eat.  We went to Olive Garden for the first time since the babies were born.  We had a gift card and a coupon, so our out-of-pocket layout for the meal (not including tip) was a mere 20 cents!!!  You can't beat that.

On Thursday my manager decided I should do a "LiveMeeting" on Friday over the internet to show off some of the new and revised screens we've completed for the next major release of our software.  Thankfully they choose 1:30 p.m. for the start time with an estimated 90 minute maximum meeting time.  The babies were fed at 12:00, and put in their cribs for a nap at 1:20.  Other than Jonathan waking up and whining for about two minutes, they stayed asleep/quiet the entire time.  My boss even pointed out at the beginning of the meeting that I was doing the presentation from home to highlight the fact that our software can be run effectively even from a remote location.

This weekend I've been wrapping up the Christmas gifts I got for Lisa and what we got for the babies.

It's gonna be a horse-race to see which baby will be the first to crawl.  Anna has been doing a "bucking" motion sometimes, whether laying on her stomach or on her back.  Lisa's coworkers say that's a sign she'll be crawling soon.  But Mr. Jonathan sometimes raises up on this hands and occassionally gets his body up too where he's on his knees.  He also does the "airplane" where he's on his belly but with his arms and legs raised.  Lydia is a little slower in this department.  But you never know, and she could start doing these things soon too.

We haven't really tried much table feeding lately.  Partly due to them not taking to it just yet, and partly due to all the other things going on right now.  Hopefully the next time we try it they will take to it a little better.

This coming week will be busy too.  Early Intervention will come for their montly evaluation of the kids.  And Lisa has a night out with some friends on the 13th.  And I hope to have one evening where Lisa handles the kids while I get out to finish up shopping.  Oh, and on Sat 16th, we have to pack them up for the doctors to get their second flu shot.  It will take more time to pack them up and unpack them when were home than it will take to give the shots, but if that's what it takes to keep them healthy then we gotta do it.
