Somebody does not want to sleep

For a week now, SOMEBODY does not want to sleep.  Any guesses?  It's little Ms. Anna.  She may start to go to sleep when you first put her in bed.  But usually within an hour, she starts crying (sometimes at the top of her lungs).  At first we thought it might be teething, as two of her top teeth are making their way through.  And sometimes daddy would feel her giving multiple "toots" from her rear while holding her, so the other thought was gas.  But as each night goes on, it seems more likely that she just wants to be up and is trying to see if she can get away with it.  The problem is, it is tough to let her just cry it out when sometimes she does wake (and upset) her sister and/or brother with her crying.

Mommy reports that Anna has started to sit up by herself a couple times this week.  Mommy also made our first attempt at seeing if they would drink from a sippy cup.  They just did not seem to know what to think of the cups, so either it will take more practice or it is possible they are just not ready yet.  When we first tried feeding them from a spoon, it didn't go very well.  So after a couple trys for that, we just waited a few weeks before trying again.  Maybe we'll do the same for the sippy cups.  Try one or two more times, and if they don't get it we'll just wait awhile before trying again.

Lydia seems to be getting better at her crawling.  She seems to be able to motor anywhere she wants now.  One day daddy left Fuzzy (orange cat) in the playroom with them.  Anna and Lydia started crawling around trying to catch the kitty.

Jonathan is getting so he sits up alot of the time now.
