Tunneling

This week both Anna and Jonathan learned to tunnel.  Daddy was laying on the floor with his legs bent at the knees, creating an archway.  All of a sudden, Anna looked through the archway and decided to crawl through it.  She liked it so much, she sat up, looked back through, and decided to go back through again.  The next day, Jonathan did the same thing.  At one point Anna was on one side and Jonathan on the other and they both tried to crawl through, meeting in the middle.  Meeting in the middle cause both of them to start giggling up a storm.

We decided to take the kids out with us Wednesday night to buy their supplies at BJ's and Target.  Since BJ's sells the Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas, we figured that would be a quick dinner for us without adding a third place to go to.  Being as cold as it was, we put them in their ligther-weight winter coats with hoods.  We discovered that Lydia takes after Daddy.  She got so warm, that her hair ended up being wet from being hot by the time we got home.  When her hair gets wet, it really curls.  All three of them were really good through both stores.  They just looked around and took in the views.  Of course we always have people that feel compelled to come up to us.  If we're "on a mission" to get something done, we just keep moving.  If we're stopped and looking at stuff, then we'll talk with people a little longer.

Daddy's job hunt is going well.  There have been a couple interviews that ended up not being worth the time.  But one place that would be a good position might make a decision today.  Daddy was supposed to meet with a previous employer this week, but there was a scheduling conflict and that got cancelled.  But another company in Harrisburg is showing a lot of interest and will do a face-to-face interview next week (after doing a phone interview last week).  And the hospital will do an interview the day after the kids birthday.  So it could be a horse-race to see which place presents a good offer first.

Mommy is probably ready for a vacation.  Her only day off this week was Wednesday, and next week Monday will be her only day off.  We were hoping to use the extra money towards fencing in the back yard, but now we are not so sure.  If we understand what the township person was explaining about the restrictions, we might not be able to put the fence in the way we wanted (due to our lot being a corner lot).  If we understand it right, the restrictions would force us to do something that would make part of the yard unusable and would not be astetically pleasing.  So we'd rather do nothing than put up something that looks horrible and might actual devalue our home.  So we might have to consider accellerating our schedule for looking for a bigger house.
