Understanding daily events

It seems like the kiddos are starting to understand parts of the daily routine more each day.  All three have been taking their bibs off themselves after eating for a while now (and sometimes before the meal is over).  A week or so ago Anna recognizes when we bring the bottles of milk that she needs to lay down in the boppy pillow.  She picks one of the pillows, lays down, and smiles.  Give her the bottle, and she goes to town.  After watching her for a couple of days Lydia learned how to do this too.  Although Lydia doesn't always lay down exactly in the middle of the pillow the way she should.  But at least she is trying to do the right thing.  So finally tonight, daddy asked Jonathan to lay down in his boppy and he did, and smiled.

Yesterday daddy drove up to Bradford to pickup Grandma Johnson and brought her down for a visit.  Being that Penn-State had a home game, daddy decided to take a different route on the way up.  After driving up US 15 towards Williamsport, the trip then went north-west via PA-44, US-6, and PA 46.  The PA-44 stretch was very scenic through that section of the mountains.  It definitely would not have been a good route if the weather was yucky or at night.  But on a bright, sunny fall day it was a nice change of pace from the usual route.  Since the normal route has more opportunities to make pit-stops, we came back that way.  We did hit some Penn-State traffic.  It took at least 20 minutes to go 1 mile, waiting to turn onto US-322.  Once we got on 322, it was not that bad.

We finally have a new kitchen table.  Our attempt with one from JC Penney's was a disaster.  It arrived damaged, and we didn't like it once it arrived anyways.  So it was sent back.  Then we looked at a table at Ashley Furniture, and decided to order it.  It finally arrived Friday.  We like it, but some of the chairs rock a little if you touch them when no one is sitting in them.  We told the delivery staff, so they are supposed to send someone out to try to rectify the problem.  We've been hoping that having the kids sitting at the dinner table will get them more interested in table food.
