Hoping to get better for Santa

We've all been sick to some degree over the last week or so. Anna was the first one to show symptoms. Seems to be a cold. She just had a runny nose, and she seems fine now. Lydia had a runny nose too for a couple days. Mommy and Daddy also got it, although Mommy got over it quick while Daddy is still lingering with it. But Jonathan is not faring quite as well. He started his runny nose a few days ago. But by Thursday night into Friday morning, Jonathan started having some trouble breathing normally. He was breathing a little faster, and he was working at it. So Daddy left work early on Friday to take him to the doctors. The doctor thought he might have pneumonia in his left lung, and his oxygen level was border-line at 90 (below 90 is cause for concern). So Daddy ended up taking him to be x-rayed. Jonathan really did not enjoy that. To do a child so small, they put them in a contraption that really looks like a torture device. Depending on the x-ray, the doctor said it was possible they would want him admitted to the hospital to have an IV of antibiotics. Thankfully, the x-ray did not show any concrete signs of pneumonia. So Jonathan was able to come home again. After he came home, he did start to act more normal too. He went back in Saturday morning just to have his lungs listened to again to be sure he did not need to be admitted. Jonathan had a fever of 100.8 on Friday, but it dropped to 98 by Saturday morning. He is still having some trouble breathing, but he is not struggling as much. The doctor said it would be normal to have more trouble with the higher fever. Jonathan seems to be playing better today, so we'll cross our fingers and toes that he continues to get better.
Tuesday, Daddy went up to Bradford to pick up Grandma Johnson to come visit for Christmas. But Uncle Eric cannot come until Thursday after Christmas because his boss is off both Christmas Eve and the day after (and only one of them is allowed off on the same day).
The kiddos are all getting better at stacking blocks. Yesterday Lydia fell down and started crying. Anna walked right up to her, and then looked down. You could tell Anna was thinking "what's wrong with you". She really seemed concerned for her sister. Lydia and Anna have been known to pat someone else on the back if they seem upset over something.
There seems to be a large stash of presents under the Christmas tree already, and Mommy and Daddy have not finished wrapping stuff yet. So I don't think the kids will run out of stuff to play with anytime soon.
Merry Christmas! (and look for pictures to [probably] be put up the weekend after Christmas)
