We forgot to mention last time that on Sunday, January 6 Jonathan had his first hair cut.  Mommy had an appointment scheduled, and we decided to schedule Jonathan right after Mommy.  At first we tried to put him on a booster seat, but Jonathan squirmed like crazy.  So Daddy sat in the chair and held him.  While we were facing the mirror, he cried.  But at least he didn’t flail his arms at the stylist, which was Daddy’s biggest fear of what might happen.  Once the chair was turned around, Jonathan stopped crying altogether.  He had so much hair in the back, that the stylist was able to put a rubber band around it creating a pony tail.  Mommy had her new digital camera in her purse, so we have photos that will be put up at the end of the month.

Last week Anna gave Mommy a good scare.  Mommy was in the kitchen, getting bottles ready for later, when Anna started crying.  And it was not just the normal “I’m unhappy” or “I’m tired” cry.  When Mommy rushed to see what was going on, Anna had some blood dripping from her mouth.  Mommy had heard a sound like Anna fell just prior to this.  Anna had blood coming from around one of her front teeth.  It took several minutes for the bleeding to stop.  Once the bleeding was stopped, it looked like Anna somehow pulled one of her lower teeth forward a little.  We closely watched Anna the rest of the day, and her mouth did not seem to bother her for the rest of the day.  Mommy called the dentist the next day just to be certain whether we should be concerned or whether this was no big deal.  The dentist told us that unless the tooth starts changing color or Anna seems uncomfortable, we should not be too worried about it.  So far, Anna has been fine since then.

Lydia is turning out to be our little chatterbox.  If anyone has seen the Volvo commercial where the dad puts his daughter in the middle of the back seat of their Volvo, and the girl is just gabbing away, that will be our Lydia.  She seemed to like chatting with Jane from Early Intervention, and she babbles a lot while playing.  Her new thing is that she loves to bring this one big bird puppet to us and wants us to make it play with her.  She also loves some smaller puppets that Grandma Johnson had given them some time ago.  Those she likes to put on her own hands.  And she will either kiss the puppets, or she will make two of the puppets kiss each other.
