January 2008 photos are now available on the photos page.

Since we felt the kids were not taking to eating "real" food like we thought they should, we had Early Intervention contact a specialist for us to look into this issue.  It turns out that Anna does have a definable problem with taking to eating.  They could feel that her jaw muscles did not seem to be as strong/defined as they should be for this age.  She seems to suck on food until it is mushy enough to swallow instead of chewing things up the way she should.  So the specialist will come back at regular intervals to work with Anna and observe her progress.  For Jonathan and Lydia, it is more a matter of Anna holding them back (since we scale back to foods that everyone will eat).

Lydia (hopefully) has a tooth or two coming in.  She has been really cranky this week.  She wants almost constant/exclusive attention.  When she does not get it, she wails as loud as she can.

Anna is teething too, but she just sucks on the ears of her favorite bunny puppet.

Jonathan has been doing some sleeve sucking, too.
