February photos are now up.  See the "Photos" page.

Hugs and Kisses, Hugs and Kisses!  The other night at bedtime, Mommy and Daddy had them changed into their jammies and ready to go upstairs.  Jonathan had this look that we could tell he wanted to hug one of us.  The next thing we know, all three of the kids are taking turns walking back and forth between Mommy and Daddy giving us hugs and kisses.  This went on for several minutes.  As they would attempt to pass each other, they would sometimes push one of the others backs to speed up them getting to one of us.  It was one of those precious moments that only parents of multiples are lucky enough to experience.

Several days ago after Daddy came home and Mommy headed off to work, Daddy was laying on the couch with Lydia sitting on the couch near Daddy's head.  Lydia all of a sudden got a look that Daddy knew she wanted a kiss.  It turned into a few minutes of Daddy and Lydia turning to each other and kissing, and then turning away.  Each time we turned toward each other, it was like a little game to Lydia.

Lydia is also very insistent about having books read to her.  She throws fits if she want someone to read to her and she does not get her way.  We have two books where they are asked how many items the character on the page has, with a small flap covering the answer.  The books only cover numbers 1 through 5.  Lydia got to the point where she now loves to say the number five.  And it is not just a normal "five", but she says it with such enthusiasm.

They are getting slightly better about eating.  Most times they will eat Spaghetti O's now.  But Jonathan can be weird about it.  Sometimes if he can see the bowl we're using, he'll refuse the spoonful.  But move the bowl out of view, and suddenly what is on the spoon is now somehow o.k. to eat.

The specialist that is working with us on feeding also gave us electric (battery powered) toothbrushes.  They were not too sure about them at first.  But now they do not fight having their teeth brushed too much.  They'll let you put the brush in their mouths, but sometimes still want to close their mouth down so we cannot move the brush the way we need to.  But just asking them to open up will usually get the process moving again.
