Up. Down. Up. Down.  That is the new thing the kids are into.  They say up while looking up, and then look down and say down.  The funny thing is, we didn't teach them that.  We think they picked it up from one of the Sesame Street videos (we have two sets of some of the original episodes).

It is fun to watch them play, as you can sometimes tell that the little wheels in their heads are spinning as they learn new things.  They used to always chase Fuzzy around and did not know how to be gentle.  One day we let Fuzzy into their play room, and Daddy started showing them how to gently pet her.  Now when they come out of the play room and Fuzzy is laying on the couch, they gently pet her head and Fuzzy likes it.  The other day Lydia was laying on her belly and playing with a toy when Fuzzy walked up to her and nudged Lydia just above her behind.  Lydia smiled and giggled.  That is the first time Fuzzy walked up to one of them looking for attention.

It hasn't happened yet, but Jonathan might figure out how to climb out of his crib soon.  Last week while he was waiting his turn for a bath, he leaned his arms on the corner of the crib and started lifting himself up.  We don't think he was trying to get out.  But if he should figure out he could try to swing himself over the rail, then he will be able to get out.  The cribs we bought are made to convert into toddler beds when the time comes.  So if he keeps trying to get out, we can quickly switch his bed over to the toddler setup.

Feeding continues to be a challenge.  Anna and Jonathan have decided that Spaghetti or Macaroni & Cheese are ok.  But Lydia doesn't seem as interested in those two things.  She will not eat as much, and sometimes sucks the sauce off the noodles and later spits the noodles out.
